Plan B Sets $300,000 Funding Goal to Support 500+ UPSC Aspirants With The Help of Polygon Blockchain

Location: New Delhi, January 23, 2025 – Plan B, an initiative to support UPSC aspirants facing setbacks in their competitive exam journey, has been announced by a team of senior UPSC aspirants and mentors. Inspired by the journey of Sandeep Nailwal, co-founder of Polygon and the Crypto Relief India Fund, this program is designed to equip aspirants with valuable skills for mainstream employment.

The UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) is one of the most competitive examinations in India, attracting an enormous number of aspirants each year. Annually, between 1 million and 1.3 million candidates apply for a limited number of civil service positions. This fierce competition translates to an extremely low selection ratio, typically ranging from 0.1% to 0.2%.

“We understand the dedication and sacrifices UPSC aspirants make,” says Abhinav Pandey, a key member of the Plan B group, “But sometimes, despite years of rigorous preparation, the dream of civil service might not materialize. We believe in the resilience of these individuals and want to empower them with alternative pathways to success.”

Plan B will offer a comprehensive curriculum covering a range of in-demand skills, including:

  • Data Analytics & Programming: Python, R, SQL, Machine Learning basics
  • Digital Marketing & Social Media Management: Content creation, SEO, social media advertising
  • Policy Making & Strategy: Research training, Thesis development, Policy analysis and evaluation
  • Business Development & Entrepreneurship: Market research, business planning, Entrepreneurship
  • Communication & Soft Skills: Public speaking, presentation skills, negotiation, teamwork

To support this ambitious project, the team has set a goal of $300,000. With contributions from the global cryptocurrency community, the team plans to use Polygon Blockchain to ensure transparency in the allocation and use of funds.

The funds raised will be used to:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality training programs.

  • Build a strong community of support and collaboration.

“We are confident that Plan B will not only provide a valuable safety net for UPSC aspirants but also contribute to the growth of India’s skilled workforce,” says Ranjan. ” We aim to empower the next generation of leaders and innovators through this initiative.”
