Crypto firms are set to gain exclusive marketing space at a UFC event hosted by President Donald Trump on the White House South Lawn this Sunday. The Octagon itself will feature logos of VeChain, Polymarket, and Stake, according to photos shared on X by freelance photographer Andrew Leyden.
This spotlight follows a major sponsorship deal between the UFC and Crypto.com, which is a co-presenting partner for Sunday’s event. The presence of these crypto logos highlights the unconventional ways Trump’s pro-crypto agenda is indirectly manifesting at an iconic government venue.
Polymarket and Exodus Weigh In
A Polymarket spokesperson told Decrypt that the company, which counts Donald Trump Jr. as an advisor, is a proud sponsor of UFC Freedom 250. They said it represents the shared spirit of competition, participation, and civic engagement that prediction markets bring to life. The spokesperson noted the company is especially honored to present a community-focused award recognizing exceptional military, law enforcement, and first responders.
Exodus, a self-custodial finance platform, was named the championship’s official payments partner less than two weeks ago. An Exodus spokesperson told Decrypt the firm is proud to support the event as part of its broader sponsorship with the league. They emphasized the arrangement is not tied to any political party or policy agenda, but instead aims to connect with a global audience. Exodus team members will be supporting activations connected to the fan experience around the event.
Legal Challenges and Broader Context
Crypto ventures tied to the president have drawn allegations of corruption, but the White House has denied those dealings create conflicts of interest. On Friday, a federal judge blocked a request from two Virginia residents to stop the UFC fight from taking place Sunday, per CNN. The plaintiffs argued the for-profit event, coinciding with Trump’s 80th birthday, couldn’t be held lawfully on federal grounds. U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta, an Obama appointee, found the plaintiffs lacked legal standing and had waited too long to request emergency intervention.
UFC CEO Dana White previously announced that athletes awarded a Fight of the Night bonus would receive the largest bonus in the promotion’s history, totaling $1 million worth of Crypto.com’s CRO token. Last year, Trump Media began working with Crypto.com on prediction markets and exchange-traded funds. The exchange has also donated millions to the pro-Trump super PAC, MAGA Inc.
This publicity echoes last year’s event for the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary parade, where Coinbase served as a sponsor. That sponsorship drew criticism from some in the crypto community who felt it conflicted with industry skepticism toward state power. Nonetheless, Coinbase’s vice president of U.S. policy posted on X that she was honored to represent the firm at the event.
