ZIGChain and Ondo Finance tokenize US stocks and ETFs

ZIGChain, a Layer 1 blockchain built for onchain investment products, has integrated with Ondo Finance to offer tokenized US stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) across its network. The news was shared with Finbold on Monday, June 8, 2026.

The partnership aims to bring institutional-grade US securities to a wider audience, including users in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and beyond. Ondo Finance pioneered the tokenization of real-world assets (RWAs), and its Ondo Global Markets platform issues tokens fully backed by underlying stocks or ETFs. This allows investors outside the US to gain economic exposure to US securities without traditional minimums or intermediaries.

Phased rollout and stack expansion

Access to Ondo-tokenized products will begin in phases at the end of May. Initially, it will be available through selected ZIGChain ecosystem applications and partners, then expand over time. This integration adds to ZIGChain’s existing RWA stack, which already includes Valdora Finance’s Liquid RWA Vaults and Beehive’s tokenized SME private credit pipeline.

Abdul Rafay Gadit, Co-Founder of ZIGChain, said the next phase of onchain finance is not about replicating existing institutional access. He explained it’s about making those instruments genuinely accessible to more participants using transparent, scalable infrastructure. Ondo handled the product tokenization, while ZIGChain acts as the infrastructure to reach new users.

Oya Celiktemur, EMEA Director at Ondo Finance, noted that bringing tokenized US stocks and ETFs to new ecosystems is core to Ondo Global Markets. She said ZIGChain gives GCC investors onchain exposure to in-demand securities with institutional-level execution and transparency. This type of distribution, she added, helps expand tokenized finance where it matters most.

Each token from Ondo is fully backed by its corresponding stock or ETF. Users can mint, transfer, and redeem these securities-backed tokens, making it a straightforward way for non-US investors to participate in US markets. The move is seen as a step toward broader adoption of tokenized assets, especially in regions where access to conventional US securities has been limited.
