The cryptocurrency market is bracing for a week of significant token unlocks, with a combined $938 million worth of assets scheduled for release from June 8 to June 14. This event has caught the attention of investors, as such unlocks often introduce volatility. Given the current market downturn, there is concern that these new tokens could add further downward pressure on altcoin prices.
Leading Token Unlocks: Rain, Aster, and DeFi.app
Rain ($RAIN) leads the list with a massive unlock on June 10. The project will release 50.3 billion $RAIN tokens, valued at roughly $657 million. This represents about 4.37% of its total token supply. Next is Aster ($ASTER), which plans to unlock 95.5 million tokens worth $58.3 million on June 9, accounting for 1.22% of its supply. DeFi.app ($HOME) follows closely, with a $45.3 million unlock scheduled for the same day as Rain. This unlock consists of 882.3 million $HOME tokens, or 8.82% of the total supply.
Other Notable Unlocks: Stable, ADI Chain, and Canton
Stable will unlock 889 million $STABLE tokens, worth about $28.1 million, on June 9. That equates to 0.89% of its token supply. ADI Chain ($ADI) ranks fifth by value, unlocking 6.99 million tokens valued at $25.8 million, which is 0.70% of its supply, also on June 9. Meanwhile, Canton ($CC) is conducting a daily unlock of 147.4 million $CC tokens, valued at up to $22.8 million, representing 0.38% of its supply.
Smaller Unlocks: pump.fun, HumidiFi, Trump, and Magic Eden
Ending the week, pump.fun ($PUMP) will unlock 10 billion tokens worth $14.2 million on June 14, making up 1.15% of its supply. HumidiFi ($WET) plans a $14.0 million unlock on June 9, involving 256.7 million tokens. Official Trump ($TRUMP) continues its weekly unlock schedule with $12.7 million worth of tokens. Lastly, Magic Eden ($ME) will unlock $10.4 million worth of its tokens on June 10, which includes 169.9 million $ME tokens, accounting for a notable 17% of its total supply.
These unlocks come at a time when the market is already feeling pressure. Investors will be watching closely to see how prices react to the increased circulating supply.
