KuCoin’s making moves in Australia. The crypto exchange just became the official partner and exclusive crypto sponsor of the 2025 BMW Australian PGA Championship happening November 27-30 at Royal Queensland Golf Club.

This partnership makes sense timing-wise. KuCoin opened its new Sydney headquarters earlier this week and has been pushing hard into the Australian market. They recently signed Australian golf legend Adam Scott as their first global brand ambassador, so partnering with a major Australian golf tournament was kind of the logical next step.

The deal includes on-course branding, fan experiences, and digital activations during the tournament. KuCoin’s CEO BC Wong says it’s about more than just sports. He’s talking about building trust and committing to Australia’s digital future long-term.

The PGA of Australia seems pretty happy about it too. Their CEO, Gavin Kirkman, mentioned that KuCoin’s innovation focus fits well with golf’s values. Having Adam Scott connected to both sides of the partnership definitely adds legitimacy.

The tournament’s got a solid lineup, including Cam Smith, Min Woo Lee, and defending champ Elvis Smylie. KuCoin will have visibility throughout the whole event as they try to establish themselves deeper in the Australian crypto market.

Conclusion

KuCoin’s strategic partnership with Australian golf demonstrates how crypto companies are leveraging mainstream sports sponsorships to build credibility and expand their presence in key international markets.
