CoinGecko, the cryptocurrency tracking platform, released data on the altcoins users searched for the most over the past three hours. The list is led by Interfold (FOLD), followed by Bitcoin and Pump.fun.
According to the data, Interfold saw a 40.5% price increase over the last 24 hours. That likely explains the sudden interest. Pump.fun rose 14.7%, while Bitcoin’s change was limited to 0.1%. One standout was CyberLeek, which jumped 1,973.7% during the same period.
Why these coins are being searched
Search interest does not always match trading volume. But it can point to where attention is going. Interfold’s recent price action probably drew people in. The same goes for Pump.fun, a token tied to the meme coin launchpad. Bitcoin is always searched, so its presence on the list isn’t a surprise.
CyberLeek’s massive gain is unusual. A move like that can attract curiosity, but it also carries risk. The CoinGecko data does not explain why the token moved so sharply.
The list and market cap
CoinGecko also shared the total market capitalization for the most-searched cryptocurrencies. The exact values were listed in order, but they change quickly. For anyone tracking this, it is worth checking the live data rather than relying on a snapshot.
Some of these coins have very small market caps. That makes them more volatile. Search interest can spike for many reasons, including social media posts, listing announcements, or simple speculation.
A few thoughts
I think this type of data is useful for spotting trends, but it is not a reason to buy anything. A 1,973% gain in 24 hours is not normal. It could be a pump that reverses just as fast.
The list only covers a short window. In three hours, another coin could take the top spot. That is the nature of crypto.
