The crypto market continues to attract investors searching for the next big crypto growth story. As Bitcoin and Ethereum consolidate, many traders are rotating into projects that still have strong upside potential under $1. Analysts say that while established assets like Solana (SOL) and Dogecoin (DOGE) remain popular, one new entrant — Mutuum Finance (MUTM) — could be preparing for a sharp move once its mainnet goes live later this year.
Solana (SOL)
Solana has been one of the top performers in recent years, currently trading around $200 USD with a total market value near $110 billion USD. Known for its speed and low transaction costs, the Solana network has built a massive ecosystem of DeFi and NFT applications. However, its large size also makes big price surges less likely.
Analysts note that SOL faces major resistance between $190 and $200 USD, with support around $175 to $185 USD. While the network continues to expand, some traders believe its current valuation limits its ability to deliver the type of returns seen in smaller projects. The high market cap means that even strong rallies are unlikely to deliver more than 1.5x returns in the short term.
Dogecoin (DOGE)
Dogecoin is trading near $0.20 USD, giving it a market capitalization of roughly $30 billion USD. Originally created as a meme, it has become one of the most recognized cryptocurrencies in the world. Its popularity and active community have kept DOGE relevant through multiple market cycles.

Despite this, analysts point out that DOGE has several limitations. It faces key resistance between $0.22 and $0.25 USD, while support sits near $0.18 USD. Dogecoin’s lack of smart contract functionality and its inflationary supply model make it less attractive for long-term investors looking for strong utility. Many experts say DOGE is more likely to deliver slow and moderate gains rather than explosive growth in 2025.
Mutuum Finance (MUTM)
Mutuum Finance is an Ethereum-based project developing a decentralized lending and borrowing protocol. The platform lets users supply crypto assets to liquidity pools and earn yield automatically through smart contracts. When users deposit assets, they receive mtTokens, which act as interest-bearing receipts that grow in value as loans are repaid.
The protocol also includes a buy-and-distribute system, where a portion of platform revenue is used to buy MUTM tokens from the open market and redistribute them to users who stake mtTokens. This creates ongoing demand and helps support long-term token value.
Mutuum Finance’s presale has already raised over $18.1 million from more than 17,500 holders, selling over 780 million tokens out of the total 4 billion supply. About 45.5% (1.82 billion) of tokens are reserved for the presale.
The token is priced at $0.035 USD in Phase 6, which is over 76% allocated. Once this phase sells out, the price will rise by nearly 20%, reaching closer to the confirmed launch price of $0.06 USD. From its initial price of $0.01, the token has already climbed nearly 300%.
Why Analysts Believe MUTM Could Outperform SOL and DOGE
While Solana and Dogecoin dominate headlines, analysts believe Mutuum Finance may have a stronger upside due to its early stage and clear utility. Solana’s massive market value and Dogecoin’s limited functionality both make large multiples difficult to achieve. In contrast, MUTM operates as a functional DeFi protocol with growing investor participation and a clear roadmap.
A $950 investment in Dogecoin might only grow by 1.3x to 1.4x, reaching about $1,200–$1,330, if the token manages to reclaim parts of its previous peak. For Solana, analysts expect a more modest rise of around 1.5x, which would bring that same $950 investment to roughly $1,425.
By contrast, Mutuum Finance (MUTM) is still in its early presale phase, where analysts predict a post-launch price between $0.25 and $0.50 USD. From the current presale level of $0.035 USD, that would represent potential gains of 7x to 14x. At those targets, the same $950 investment could grow to anywhere between $6,500 and $13,000, echoing the kind of early-stage returns seen in projects like Aave and Ripple during their breakout phases.
V1 Launch and Security Audit Build Confidence
Mutuum Finance is preparing for the launch of its V1 protocol, which is set to debut on the Sepolia Testnet in Q4 2025. The rollout will introduce its Liquidity Pool, mtToken, Debt Token, and Liquidator Bot — the key components that power its lending and borrowing system. Initially, the platform will support ETH and USDT for lending, borrowing, and collateralization.
Security is another major focus. The project has successfully passed a CertiK audit, earning a 90/100 Token Scan score. It also runs a $50,000 bug bounty program to encourage external testing before the mainnet release. These measures give both retail and institutional investors more confidence in the protocol’s reliability.
With solid progress, verified smart contracts, and a clear growth roadmap, Mutuum Finance (MUTM) is emerging as a strong contender among the potential best crypto to buy now. Solana and Dogecoin remain key market players, but their higher valuations leave less room for large upside.
