The World’s largest consumer technology show in Las Vegas, CES 2020 (formerly Consumer Electronics Show) is an annual trade show organized by the Consumer Technology Association, held in January is all set to dazzle the world. Hot tech is supposed to be dished out at the show and everyone is excited, us included! We bring you the most bizzare and exciting tech showcased by tech companies from all over the world.
Amazon’s Alexa in the Shower – CES 2020
Amazon has been aggressively integrating Alexa into everything. From speakers and headphones to cars and microwaves! So it was no surprise to us when Kohler announced a showerhead with a smart speaker integrated with Alexa. One obvious thing everyone is going to do is listen to music in the shower but Alexa can do much more. You can catch up on the news, listen to your favorite podcasts and even order a pizza. The Kohler Moxie Showerhead is dividing public opinion – some say that it is just what they needed as it is all waterproof and they can stop worrying about the water, while others are saying it is in a long list of unnecessary products integrated with Alexa. Some users are even taking a shot at Amazon joking that Alexa will now be able to listen to users in the privacy of their showers too. What do you think?
Samsung’s Sero TV – One that Rotates!
The product that is generating the most buzz is perhaps Samsung’s rotating TV which can rotate from landscape to portrait seamlessly. Interestingly, the word Sero means ‘Vertical’ in Korean! Samsung intends to appeal to the smartphones users who might want to view their vertical videos on a bigger screen. Standing at 43-Inches, the 4K TV is programmed to change its orientation at the press of a button.
Well, the TV manufacturers have been coming up with interesting designs and concepts to stand out from the competition and generate a buzz around their products from TVs that can be rolled to curved displays but this one is new and we have to say, we love it!
Sex Tech at CES 2020
When it comes to the latest in Sex Technology, CES has a troubled history. Last year, it revoked an award which they gave to the makers of a robotic sex toy, only to give it back again. A lot of discussion and debates have happened around the idea of letting Sex Tech manufacturers showcase their latest and greatest at the CES. This time they are at least 10 companies who are fully-prepared to bare their all. OhMiBod, Satisfyer and Come Play Inc. are one of the few companies who will be there at the event and they will be eligible for awards too this year. If you are there, we strongly recommend you check out their products. You will find devices that help treat premature ejaculation, vibrators for couples, remote controlled strap-ons which inflate and so on. We are definitely happy with CES’ decision to let the Sex Tech companies participate after all!
CES never disappoints and this year will be no different. There is no end to all the exciting tech we will see at the CES 2020 but we can’t possibly talk about all of them. We at TCU love CES and know that you love it too. Let us know in the comments about your experience at the CES 2020, what devices are you excited for, what events are you looking forward to and anything else you found interesting! Will it be the 5G devices or ride-sharing cabs that fly – Who Knows?
