Samsung finally confirms the launch date of Galaxy S10

Samsung’s upcoming flagship Smartphone, the Galaxy S10 has remained a hot topic of discussion since a while. Moreover, it was expected that the Galaxy S10 and S10 Lite both would have a launch sometime this year. Well, the launch of at least one of these devices sure appears to be happening in just over a month. The company has finally confirmed the launch of Galaxy S10 at an event called Galaxy Unpacked on February 20 in London.

Notably, the Galaxy S10 marks the tenth anniversary of Samsung Galaxy S series phones. The South Korean Smartphone manufacturer has teased about the Unpacked event through its official Twitter page. Besides, a blog post was also shared on Samsung’s official site which said that the event’s live streaming would be available through the site. Also, another parallel launch event is expected to happen in the United States as well.

More Exciting Launches!

Apart from the Galaxy S10 and S10 Lite, it’s expected that Samsung will also launch a high-end Galaxy S10 Plus variant this year.

Besides, the latest report says that the Galaxy S10 Lite or S10 E will not feature an in-display fingerprint sensor and may instead house a side mounted sensor. This also indicates that the Galaxy S10 Lite will be priced at an affordable price than the Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus. However, there are chances that the Galaxy S10 Lite may be launched like a competitor to Apple iPhone XR. The only difference would be that the S10 Lite will come at a more affordable cost than the iPhone XR.

Meanwhile, both Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus are expected to sport an in-display fingerprint sensor. However, a new report indicates that the S10 will have just a single camera sensor mounted in its punch-hole display. On the other hand, the S10 Plus will house two front cameras mounted inside its punch-hole display.

The wait starts!

Talking about Galaxy S10 specs, the phone will most likely feature a 6.1-inch Ultra AMOLED display. It could be equipped by either Exynos 9820 SoC or maybe the latest Snapdragon 855 SoC. All the three versions of the S10 device are expected to feature enhanced camera technology than compared to the previous S series devices. The three models are also likely to have varying size, specs as well as price.

It is also being suspected that the company may launch a fourth 5G supported S10 variant during springtime. However, an official confirmation on this is still pending.

The company will not just be launching the Galaxy S10 Smartphone but will also be unveiling a folding Smartphone, as per a report by The Wall Street Journal. The Samsung Galaxy F will be the company’s first “fully functional” folding device. The device would act as a phone when folded and would turn into a small tablet when unfolded. As per a previous The Wall Street Journal report, the size of Galaxy F’s display in tablet mode would be 7-inches diagonally.

Well, one will have to wait for most of the speculations and questions to be answered at the grand event next month.
