An American Politician Says That Criticizing Proof-of-Work Means Targeting BTC

Leading American politician and former military officer Warren Davidson tweeted, showing his unacceptance of the tweet from the World Economic Forum on Bitcoin.

The tweet by World Economics Forums featured a video that was trying to convey how Bitcoin mining is badly affecting the environment and is the reason for 2% of global warming.

Reacting to the tweet, Davidson tweeted that Bitcoin is a savior for defending freedom when it is under attack by people of this thinking. He warned the audience to not get fooled and influenced by these types of tweets.

And anyone who criticizes Proof-of-Work means they are targeting BTC. And at the end, he wrote, “more freedom” and less involvement of the government.

Proof of Work (PoW)

Many cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin and Ethereum, are protected by the proof-of-work mechanism. When it comes to digital currencies, there is usually one central authority or leader who keeps track of every user’s balance.

On the other hand, cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin are controlled by no one. Proof-of-work is required in order for the virtual currency to function properly without the involvement of a central authority.

Proof of work is also the foundation of numerous other cryptocurrencies, allowing for secure, decentralized consensus.
