It was revealed on Tuesday that Adidas, a German multinational firm that makes athletic shoes and clothing, and Ready Player Me, a cross-game avatar platform for the metaverse, would collaborate.
To coincide with the release of the Adidas Originals Ozworld shoe line, Ready Player Me and Adidas will introduce a personality-based AI-produced avatar creation tool.
Adidas’ newest Ozworld footwear line will be unveiled on the platform on April 8th.
What will it offer?
Thanks to Ready Player Me’s unique collaboration, each avatar will have access to over 1500 distinct metaverse applications and games.
Since the Adidas Ozworld collection is meant to be a platform for style experimentation and a rallying cry for the pursuit of creative expression, the accompanying online experience will focus on the substance of individuals’ distinctive personalities rather than their physical looks.
Users will be asked a number of questions while building their avatars so that the platform can learn more about them.
The responses will then be transformed into a digital avatar that is based on the Ozworld shoe collection’s visual codes.
Once they’ve created their avatars, users may play with animation and the Ozworld shoe collection, which they can then buy or try on online.
Avatars may be turned into stickers and GIFs that can be shared on social media by users.
Ready Player Me: Virtual reality platform for Metaverse characters
More than 1750 partner businesses and developers have utilized Ready Player Me since it received $13 million in December, including high-street apparel company Pull & Bear, Nike’s RTFKT, virtual reality realm Somnium Space, and sci-fi classic Dune.
Adidas and Metaverse
Following the success of Adidas’ first NFT initiative, Into The Metaverse, this cooperation is Adidas’ second metaverse endeavor. Early access to Ozworld will be made available to ITM NFT holders and adiClub members through a special URL. On April 28, the first batch of avatars will be released.
